Gas Portfolio Optimisation
GPO manages the gas portfolio in North West Europe ensuring stable supply while minimizing risk and extracting value from opportunities in the portfolio. For our Gas Portfolio Optimisation desk in Amsterdam we are looking for a:
- Junior Gas Portfolio Manager (Bachelor)
Responsibilities
- Supports to execute and exploit opportunities of Vattenfall’s gas portfolio in North West Europe
- Supports to optimize Vattenfall’s supply & sales portfolio and gas storage asset portfolio and to ensure executions in cooperation with the trading teams
- Learn to optimize the supply & sales portfolio and gas storage asset portfolio (short to medium term) by using contract flexibilities, transport capacities, markets and balancing regimes
- Administer any executed positions in the ETRM and Gas Scheduling system
- Faciliate workflows within the existing processes
- Align and develop smaller analysis and- structuring tools for portfolio-analysis
- Cooperate closely with traders, originators and operators to support the workflows
Ideal profile
Bachelor in Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics or similar Good economics knowledge and keenness to learn and to work in a complex business environment.
- Good mathematical skills
- Programming skills in at least VBA, preferably also with C# or Linear Programming
- Fluency in English
- Profit- and performance-orientation
- Team-player
- High degree of reliability and responsibility
