Students in engineering who have completed their third or fourth year (course specialization is of less importance) that show initiative, international interest and eagerness to work.
Graduation project mechanical engineer (Maastricht)
The ExxonMobil plant in Kerkrade produces BOPP film for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Winding of the film is one of the crucial processes necessary for film production. For this purpose a contact roll is used. Goal of this research is to optimize the construction of the contact roll for better damping and les air inclusion. Optimization should be founded with a Finite Element Analysis of the contact roll structure.
Kerkrade Films Plant (dichtbij Maastricht)
De plant in Kerkrade produceert BOPP film voor Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika. Het oprollen van de film is één van de meest cruciale processen in de filmproductie. Hiervoor gebruikt men een contactrol. Het doel van de stage is om het design van deze contactrol te optimalizeren om zo een betere demping en minder luchtinsluitsels te verkrijgen.
